Meghan Markle Deletes All References to Shows Dumped From Netflix

The Duchess of Sussex has quietly deleted all references to a TV show she was producing after Netflix dumped it.

Pearl – an animated series about a girl who draws inspiration from influential women throughout history – was produced by Meghan and Harry’s production company, Archewell.

However, all references to the show on Archewell Productions’ website have been removed after it was dropped by the streaming service.

A recap of the series along with a lengthy quote from Meghan previously appeared on the site.

The Duchess co-executed with Elton John’s husband David Furnish on the show.

The sun reports that Meghan’s quote read: “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl finds herself on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges.

“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, in partnership with Netflix’s powerful platform and these incredible producers, will bring together this new animated series that celebrates exceptional women throughout history.

“David Furnish and I have been very keen to bring this special series to light and I’m delighted to announce it today.”

All that’s left on Meghan and Harry’s production side is one of two of their projects, the Heart of Invictus.

The ax of the show is the latest blow for the couple after it was revealed they will be barred from the royal balcony at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Harry and Meghan, who have given up their roles as working royals, will return to the UK in celebration of the monarch, who marks 70 years on the throne.

But the US-based couple will join Prince Andrew on the sidelines after he was ousted from office following allegations of sexual abuse.

Inside sources at the palace also say a Netflix film crew tracking Meghan and Harry is being stopped by royal enforcers as they attempt to film the celebrations.
