Harry bans his childhood friend from his wedding party
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married in 2018, the couple had 600 guests at St George’s Chapel in Windsor with them before narrowing the list down to 200 for the dinner party.
And according to royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, one of Harry’s oldest friends did not receive an invitation to the reception – although the A-listers were George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey make cuts.
In the book In Search of Freedom, experts say that Prince Harry’s friend Tom Inskip – known as “Skippy” – felt as though he had “lost a friend” after the wedding.
Experts say Tom has expressed concern about the speed at which Harry’s new relationship is progressing and suggested the pair live together before getting married. Although experts say Tom’s comments “come from a good place”, Prince Harry is said to be “deeply heartbroken” and banned his old friend from the dinner party.
They wrote: “Remarkable [absence from the reception was] Skippy, an old friend of Harry’s, who questioned the prince’s relationship with Meghan and his wife, Lara.
“They were invited to the wedding ceremony and the luncheon [hosted by The Queen] but didn’t cut back for the evening. “
In their blockbuster biopic, the authors claim that Tom expressed his disappointment at having a late lunch with his partner the next day.
He is said to have told friends “Meghan has changed Harry so much” and concluded that “we’ve lost him”.
