According to a lip reader, at one point during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Prince Harry was quietly comforted by his wife Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kept a low profile during the four-day extravaganza but were spotted at St Paul’s Cathedral along with other members of the royal family on Friday.

Prince Harry and Meghan, who were traveling to the UK from their home in Montecito, California, were forced to sit in the second row 25 feet from Prince William and Prince Charles Daily express reports.

And according to a lip reader, Meghan offered some reassuring words to her husband during the Thanksgiving service.

Meghan reportedly turned to Prince Harry at one stage of the 50-minute service and said, “Yeah, it’ll be fine.”

Royal expert Ingrid Seward acknowledged that the seating plan at St Paul’s was designed to prevent Prince Harry and Prince William from coming face to face.

Ingrid told Fabulous: “The excuse was that since they are no longer working members they should literally take a backseat.

“In reality, the palace was determined not to take any photos that might reveal animosity between the brothers.

“Becoming a second-tier king is hard for Harry to swallow.”

The couples were on opposite sides of the cathedral as Kate and William sat in the front row with Prince Charles and Camilla, while Harry and Meghan sat alongside their cousins Princess Eugenie and Beatrice, and husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank

writing for the post, Royal expert Richard Kay claimed the seating chart showed the “public reality” of Harry’s slippage in the royal pecking order and branded Charles, Camilla, William and Kate the “true stars of the show”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the US early and missed out on the platinum jubilee competition that rounded off the four-day celebrations.

The couple, along with their two children Archie, three, and one-year-old Lilibet, were already on the air when Sunday’s spectacular parade began. They are believed to have been driven from Frogmore Cottage to Farnborough Airport before taking off at 1:30pm.

A source told The Sun: “There was no fanfare, they just walked.

“They didn’t stick with the platinum anniversary competition.”
