Queen’s Jubilee: Harry and Meghan arrive for Thanksgiving service

Meghan Markle made her first public appearance in Britain in over two years and “showed the world she was nervous” during her anniversary visit.

So says a body language expert, who said when the Duchess of Sussex arrived at St Paul’s Cathedral with her husband Prince Harry, she was visibly nervous, The reported To express.

Jesús Enrique Rosas, known as the Body language guyShe studied Meghan’s body language from arriving at St Paul’s Cathedral to being seated during the service and exiting.

He highlighted a regular movement Meghan was making, suggesting she was nervous. Getting out of the car, Prince Harry made sure his wife was looking her best and motioned for her to check the collar of her dress, which she did.

Jesús commented, “Looking at the footage I noticed everyone mentioned Meghan fixing her collar and it was always the left side…something needs to be said about reassuring gestures.

“We do this kind of gesture to calm ourselves down, it can fix our clothes or it can touch our face, or in the case of Harry, touch his [wedding] Ring.

“This is a way to relieve stress and it actually works, that’s why we’re doing it. But at the same time we tell the world that we are nervous.

“In the case of clothes, maybe the fit isn’t right and we’re a little uncomfortable, but for fit adjustments, we usually pull – pull sleeves, skirts.

“But it was a very conscious step for her [Meghan] She doesn’t really adjust anything to touch her collar tab.”

The Body Language Guy also studied Meghan’s facial expressions to see if she was nervous or uncomfortable.

He commented: “Don’t let Meghan’s smile fool you, she was uncomfortable at times too.”

Jesús then referenced several moments where Meghan was caught standing and smiling, but Jesús noted that “her neck muscles are really tight.”

The expert went on to claim “there was a good reason for this tension” – “the reaction of the public when they entered the cathedral”.
