Meghan Markle’s hairstylist and close friend has revealed what she and Harry’s two young children are really like as they visit the UK for the first time.

George Northwood called Archie the “cutest well behaved boy” and their little girl Lilibet, who turns one tomorrow, “beautiful”.

Mr Northwood recently flew to the Netherlands to do Meghan’s hair while she attended the Invictus Games with husband Harry.

He shared a post with several pictures of the Duchess on Instagram today to mark her family’s long-awaited trip back to the UK.

In the caption, he wrote: “So nostalgic and wonderful to be reunited with Harry, Meghan and their family in the UK. Archie has grown into the cutest well behaved little boy and Lilibet is absolutely beautiful.”

It comes after the Queen reportedly met her great-granddaughter and namesake Lilibet for the first time this week.

On Thursday, Prince Harry and Meghan had lunch behind closed doors with the monarch and senior royals as part of the ongoing Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The reunion took place after the Trooping of the Color at Buckingham Palace and was first revealed by BBC Royal commentator Omid Scobie.

He said: “I think people are expecting some sort of extravagant birthday event that we’re going to see photos of.

“We shouldn’t expect anything from what I’ve been told. These moments with Lilibet are very private between you and the Queen and of course we know how much she was looking forward to it.

“They have been held back by a pandemic. Of course, the times Harry was here, he was only alone for rather somber occasions.

“And that was really the first time. Of course we know the Queen returned to Windsor Castle yesterday, the couple have also returned to Windsor where they are staying at Frogmore Cottage.

“So that would have been the first moment or chance for her to meet her namesake.”

During the four-day anniversary weekend, Harry and Meghan are said to be keeping a low profile.

There’s no sign the Netflix cameras that accompanied them to the Invictus games traveled to the UK with them.

Lilibet Diana Mountbatten was named after the Queen’s childhood nickname, while her middle name apparently comes from Harry’s future mother.

The children’s loving unveiling comes just hours after the Queen canceled her second Platinum Jubilee event.

After missing Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace announced today that she will also not be attending the Epsom Derby this weekend.

Over the anniversary weekend so far, countless Britons have come to celebrate the Queen’s 70th birthday as monarch.

From street parties to RAF flight mishaps and Trooping the Color, the historic four day weekend has been mostly blue skies and sunshine so far.
