Meghan Markle was quick to congratulate Prince Harry on his latest polo tournament victory.

She was pictured kissing her husband on the lips after his team was victorious at the Lisle Nixon Memorial Trophy at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in California.

Meghan, wearing a black polka dot blouse and white shorts, presented the team with the award and kissed the members on the cheek.

When it came to Harry, she planted a kiss on his lips. Some of her red lipstick rubbed off and Meghan quickly wiped Harry’s lips to remove a stain.

According to body language expert Judi James, while it was a sweet gesture from Meghan, it looked “completely out of place” among Harry’s macho teammates.

And she also told the Mirror that Meghan seems a bit reluctant during the kiss – although there’s an obvious reason.

She explained: “Meghan is in absolute ‘command, control and direct’ mood with that congratulatory kiss at the polo.

“Prior to this, the pair’s signature hand closure with interlocking fingers and Harry’s appreciative looks and Meghan’s smile responses showed their usual high level of affection, and of course polo is the traditional peacock sport for royal men who can show off their dashing prowess in the saddle as well as their ripped muscles in those romantic white breeches.” , but for the winner’s kiss here, a degree of caution was still needed from Meghan.

“While Harry leans forward with all his usual sharpness for a sign of intimacy, Meghan puts two hands to his face in what looks like some sort of controlling and restraining gesture.

“The reason for this looks pretty obvious. Meghan’s wide-brimmed hat, giant sunglasses and red lipstick would all make a tactical nightmare for anything more passionate than a peck on the cheek.

“Even with that carefully placed kiss on the cheek, Meghan seems to have to check her hat and sunglasses afterwards and is laughing as she shares the moment with her husband.

“For all her diligence, she wipes the lipstick off Harry’s face afterwards in a very cute gesture that still seems quite out of place in the more macho-tinged lineup of Harry’s team of polo players.”

Pictures of the couple playing polo over the weekend follow reports that Netflix bosses are hoping the couple will be filming at their first family home during their upcoming anniversary visit.

Harry and Meghan and children Archie and Lilibet are understood to be staying at Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage for next month’s celebrations.

However, it is uncertain whether palace assistants will try to stop Netflix cameras from filming the Sussexes there.
