Mel C cancels New Year’s Eve concert in Poland after mysterious issues are highlighted

Melanie C said she canceled a show in Poland on New Year’s Eve after becoming aware of issues that “didn’t sit well with the community I support”.

Spice Girl, 48, did not specify but was praised online by members of the LGBT community.

The singer, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, was supposed to perform in the city of Zakopane.

But in a statement posted on Monday, she wrote: “Due to a number of issues that caught my attention, which are not suitable for the community I support, I am afraid I will not be able to perform in Poland. more. plan on New Year’s Eve.

“I hope to be back there soon. Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for 2023. Melanie xxx.”

In response to her statement, Twitter users described her as a “hero” and an “ally”.
