The Voice Kids: Mel C gets emotional talking about Spice Girls
Spice Girl Mel C shocked the country when it was revealed that all 5 singers in the band were “average”.
The pop group, which split in 2001, has become one of the best-selling bands of all time, but Mel humbly says there’s nothing “special” about her and her bandmates Victoria Beckham. , Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton.
She revealed on DJ Annie Mac’s podcast, Changes, telling the host, “We still laugh about it now because we were just average in many ways.
“We’re not special. But we were able to create something really special that many people would recognize.”

The band formed in 1994 and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, quickly becoming the best-selling album by a girl group in history.
“There’s so much about the Spice Girls that you just can’t explain,” added Mel C.
“We were lucky – all the stars were aligned. All these wonderful things happened but there’s something inexplicable about the five of us – it’s just magic.
“We have this common vision – it just gives us this strength and this strength.”
“For all my self-doubt or all my fear, the belief that everyone else has, we have in each other.
“It just pushed us to make people believe that we were going to be the biggest band in the world.
“And we’re going to make a movie and it’s going to be a huge hit.”
In recent days, she’s seemed to hint that the possibility of the Spice Girls reuniting depends on Geri Halliwell.
Last month it was reported that all five of the original band members – including Victoria – had been asked to perform during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations later this year.
The Spice Girls last performed as a star at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London – with Posh Spice set to host additional tours and performances since then.

While the fashion designer is usually reluctant to go back to her girl group roots, this time around, it’s possible Ginger Spice is pulling her heels toward a reunion.
During her solo performance over the weekend, Melanie C was asked by an audience if the wannabe singers would accept the offer.
“You’ll need to ask Geri about that,” suggested Sporty Spice onstage, according to The Sun.
“We haven’t discussed it yet.”
