As rumored the Spice Girls will reunite this summer, for a one-time performance for the Queen – Sporty Spice Mel C chatted about a potential return to the stage over the weekend

Earlier this month, it was reported that all five of the original band members – including Victoria Beckham – was asked to perform at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations later this year.
The Spice Girls last performed as a star at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London – with Posh Spice set to host additional tours and performances since then.
While the fashion designer is usually reluctant to go back to her girl group roots, this time around, it’s possible Ginger Spice is pulling her heels toward a reunion.
Speaking on stage in London on Saturday night, Melanie C told fans they would have to “ask Geri” about the possibility of a reunion.
The return of the Spice Girls as 5 members will take place on June 4 of this year, as a star-studded concert is scheduled to take place to honor 70 years on the Female throne. King.
During her solo performance over the weekend, Melanie C was asked by an audience if the wannabe singers would accept the offer.
“You’ll need to ask Geri about that,” Sporty Spice suggested onstage, according to The Sun.
“We haven’t discussed it yet.”
The potential Spice Girls reunion comes a decade after the girls turned down the chance to perform for the Queen’s Diamond Year celebration.
When the likes of Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Take That, JLS and more took to the stage in 2012, some members of the iconic group seemed to regret their decision.
“Makes me very sad. Spice Girls are not part of the Queens festival, broke my heart so much, I enjoyed it so much, watched some movies on TV, it’s amazing”, Mel B said tweeted at the time, with Mel C adding a similarly dreary sentiment.

Last year, Melanie C spoke about the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion, noting that all of her band members “were all passionately wanting to do it”.
She told OK! Magazine: “I tell you one thing, there will be if I have anything to do with it.
“We kept talking about it. The girls had meetings and it was something we were all passionate about doing.
“We’re working through the details of Covid to try to make that happen.”
The band – who burst onto the music scene in 1996 – stayed on the stage, without Posh, in 2019.
Speaking to Vogue Germany, Victoria said her decision not to join her bandmates on the tour required “courage”.
“It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one to say, ‘You know, I don’t do it because things feel different now than they do now. before,” she explained for the publication.
“I want to focus on my family and my company.”
