Two men were arrested after a man and woman were racially abused in a car park.
The man and woman were reportedly ill-treated after being challenged about parking in a disabled space.
A man yelled racially at her in the car park of Ravenside Retail Park in Bexhill.
After driving off, a second man made a racist gesture towards the couple from his red pickup truck.
A 54-year-old man and an 80-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.
Both men have been released on bail pending further investigation.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place at 4.40pm on Thursday 22 December.
The first man is described as being between 50 and 60 years old, approximately 5ft 10 inches tall, of medium build and wearing a dark wool sweater.
The second man is described as a white male in his 50s to 60s, approximately 5ft 10in, of medium build, wearing a gray sweater under a black hoodie.
