There will be a cool, clear start this morning as fog and wisps of fog clear, Met Éireann has forecast.
The forecaster said high pressure nearby will bring a mostly dry start to next week but will gradually become more choppy as rain and drizzle spread from the Atlantic mid-week.
Most areas will be dry today with spells of hazy sunshine. A few showers are possible in the north and west.
It will be another fresh day with light northerly breezes and highest temperatures between 13°C and 17°C, warmest in the south-west.
Tonight will be mostly dry with fog or mist forming. Clouds will become cloudier overnight with some patches of light rain and drizzle developing in the north and northwest.
It’s set to be another chilly night, with temperatures as low as between 2ºC and 7ºC, coldest in Leinster and the Midlands, with a light breeze.
Sunday will be fairly cloudy over Ulster with scattered light rain and drizzle. Elsewhere it will be drier with only isolated showers and occasional sunshine, the best of which will be in the east of the country.
Highest temperatures range between 15°C and 17°C with a light westerly or variable breeze.
It will be generally dry overnight with clear spells, although there will be scattered drizzles in the north and west.
A milder night with lowest temperatures between 9°C and 12°C in a light variable breeze.
On Monday it will be cloudy. Dry for most, but some light showers developing in the afternoon.
The highest temperatures are between 15°C and 17°C with a light to moderate south-west breeze.
On Monday night it will be cloudy and mostly dry, but towards morning light rain and drizzle will set in in the west and north-west.
It will be a mild night with low temperatures between 10°C and 13°C and a light south-west breeze.
Many areas will be dry on Tuesday but outbreaks of rain will gradually spread across Connacht and Ulster throughout the day.
It will be humid with highs between 16°C and 19°C with a moderate southwest breeze.
More rain and drizzle spread across the western half of the country on Wednesday, while it remains drier farther east with only the occasional shower.
It will be windy with moderate to fresh southerly winds with maximum temperatures between 16°C and 19°C.
