Met Éireann forecasts a mixed morning – but with good news

It will be fairly cloudy and a little windy with scattered showers this morning, Met Éireann has forecast.

The forecaster predicts there will be plenty of dry weather midweek, turning wet again from Friday and into the weekend.

It will be mostly dry in the afternoons and evenings as the showers become sporadic and later also lighten as better sunny spells develop.

Moderate to brisk north-west breezes mostly ease slightly in the evening, with highs between 15°C in the north-west and 20°C in the south-east.

It will be dry tonight with long clear spells mixed with some clouds. Near the west coast with lowest temperatures between 7°C and 11°C with a light northwesterly or changeable breeze there is only a chance of occasional showers.

On Tuesday it will be mostly dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine. There may also be isolated showers with maximum temperatures between 15°C and 18°C ​​and a light north breeze.

It will be dry and mostly clear overnight barring high clouds with lowest temperatures between 8C and 11C with light variable breezes.

Clouds will build up on Wednesday morning and scattered showers will develop with highs between 15C and 18C with light southerly breezes.

Dry conditions with lowest temperatures between 9°C and 11°C will remain cloudy overnight, with a light easterly wind.

Thursday will be mostly dry with a mix of clouds and sunny intervals, there will be some showers in some parts with highs between 17°C and 20°C with light easterly breezes.

Thursday night will be largely dry and clear with lowest temperatures between 9°C and 11°C.

Friday starts out mostly dry and sunny, but rain will move in from the Atlantic as the day progresses.
