Billie Eilish arrives at the Met Gala 2021

Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor was a far cry from her 18th-century petticoats when she made her Met Gala debut.

The British actress dared to wear lingerie as an outerwear when revealing a thin black bra underneath a floor-length dress.

The 27-year-old girl left her auburn hair flowing and added winged eyeliner for effect.

She joined Vanessa Hudgens, who also left little of the imagination as she stepped out in a black sheer dress on the red carpet tonight.

The actress, 33, wore a pair of lace panties underneath a gothic see-through dress because she was one of the first to arrive.

Her dramatic dress had a long train of lace and large puffy sleeves and she pulled her hair into a tight bun to make sure it didn’t distract her look.

This year’s Gilded Glamor and White Tie theme, is the second in a two-part series after reopening for the first time since the pandemic.

The first part of the exhibition, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, celebrates all that belongs to American Fashion.

She added an elegant head scarf and carried a Louis Vuitton handbag.

Normally the event attracts around 600 celebrities, but this year the number was close to 400.

Although cherries are selected for this year’s attendees, the fashion queen will not make an appearance.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, who are expecting the couple’s second child, the power couple got a vibe when they walked in together.

Sophie wears a long, loose black dress with studs at the chest and has gorgeous red hair with tight curls.

To make her hair color pop, she added pink eyeshadow and a red lip for extra drama.

Joe wore a white tuxedo and appeared to be taking fashion tips from Louis Hamilton’s half-matching half-dress from last year.

His coat featured a train of white lace that fell to the floor as he glided along with his wife.

This year’s hosts include Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The subject of the event has come under scrutiny as some have called it “off-topic”.

One user tweeted: “Am I the only one who thinks this year’s #MetGala thread has lost touch? Inequality is at its highest since the Golden Age, pandemic & recession ravages us, inflation spirals out of control… but great, wear #GildedAge themed dresses & laughs about inequality… this year’s theme is a slap in the face to the average American. ”
