Met Office issues a yellow rain and wind weather warning for Sussex
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for rain and wind in Sussex.
A yellow warning will be in effect tomorrow from 10am to 7pm this evening.
Forecasters said a “brief spell of heavy rain and strong, gusty winds” could lead to flooding and traffic disruption.
There have already been some heavy showers today, prompting the Environment Agency to issue six flood warnings for Sussex.
What to expect
- Road spray and flooding are likely to increase travel times
- Some road, rail, air and ferry delays are likely
- Delays likely for high-board vehicles on exposed routes and bridges
- Flooding of some houses and shops is possible
