The second annual Meta Quest Gaming Showcase takes place on April 20th and gives fans a glimpse into the future of VR.
The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, formerly known as the Oculus Gaming Showcase, will air April 20th at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET/6:00pm BST and will feature “new game announcements, first gameplay looks, Updates to games coming out in the near future contain years and lots of surprises.”
While no teasers were given on what specific gaming fans can expect from the show, last year’s show included updates on Resident Evil 4 VR, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, Pistol Whip, and Lone Echo 2.
We do hear more about the VR games Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed announced last year, as well as the VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Meta Quest 2 is one of the leading VR platforms, but there will be stiff competition in the near future as Sony prepares to launch PlayStation VR 2. No release date has been given for PSVR 2, but you can see how it fares compared to the original PSVR, Meta Quest 2, and Valve Index here.
