Michael Conlan said he has “no affiliations” with MTK Global and has not heard from Hoopoe Sports LLC – a US government-sanctioned company – as of yesterday, despite his being listed on their website as one of their clients and as an MTK Global boxer may be .

Mr Conlan’s spokesman said: “Michael had not heard from Hoopoe Sports until yesterday and has no connection with them.
“Michael was not aware until yesterday that he was on the MTK website or the Hoopoe Sports website and is taking the necessary steps to have his recording removed.”
As of Wednesday night, Conlan is still listed as a customer on Hoopoe Sports’ website and as an MTK boxer on his website.
The rep also said that Conlan started his own boxing promotion and management company with his brother Jamie last year and that Michael has “no affiliations” with MTK Global.
“He and Jamie formed their independent management and promotion company, Conlan Boxing, in July 2021 and Michael will be led by Jamie as a result.
“Michael’s promoter is Top Rank and he fights his way through Top Rank sponsored shows,” the statement said.

“I don’t think anyone involved in the drug trade should be involved in the promotion of boxing or with my company,” Mr. Arum said
