A football coach is being fired after Michael Owen called him for a vile tweet about his daughter Gemma.

The 19-year-old girl has been at the Love Island villa for nearly a week and attracts a lot of attention.

Proud dad Michael, 42, answered questions about his “baby” and admitted he didn’t want to see Gemma kiss on the show.

But this led to a rough response from football coach Paul Proud’s Twitter account.

The former Glasgow City FC employee posted on Twitter: “Can’t wait to see her smashed”, accompanied by a flurry of laughing emojis.

Michael was outraged by the comment and tweeted back: “What a good example to set from a man in your position of responsibility.”

Fans have continued to criticize the coach, with one writing: “Great comment from a friend who works with youth teams.”

While another said: “So is the coach of the U18 women’s team”.

Proud’s Twitter feed claims he is the coach for Glasgow City FC’s under-18 development team.

However, when contacted by the Scottish Sun, he confirmed that he no longer holds the position.

He said: “My account was deleted and I resigned immediately so there was no running thing,” the report said. Sun.

Proud added that the post was made “in jest”, “taken out of context” and that “exact action was taken by myself to disqualify myself from the club”.

Father-of-four Michael recently spoke about watching his daughter on the show, admitting that he didn’t want to see “physical contact”.

He also talked about how hard it was for his wife, Louise, to read the online criticism Gemma has received since entering the villa.

The addition of Cameron to the mansion is sure to add some heat to the series with its Ex on the Beach style.

Meanwhile Jacques has hinted that he hopes to win back the swimwear designer by participating in the show.
