Let’s start my work next week, says Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, who has had success with Covid.

One of Sir Mick’s exes showed a lot of sympathy for the old demon, who developed symptoms after a sound test and had to cancel a show in Amsterdam.

Yesterday Mick said, “Thank you all so much, I feel so much better and can’t wait to get back on stage next week.”

Luciana Gimenez, 52, a former lover of the 78-year-old captain, said the whole family was supportive of his recovery.

The Brazilian model’s message to their son Lucas, 23, reads: “He’ll be fine honey… we’re here for him.”

On Tuesday, the Stones will perform in Milan, Italy.

The band is also set to perform two historic shows as part of the BST Hyde Park concert series in London. Their first, on June 25, will be the night that Sir Paul McCartney makes headlines at Glastonbury.

BST insiders say it’s “business as usual” as they prepare for major gigs. The last time The Stones played in Hyde Park was in 2013, the year the BST concerts began.

They performed a popular free gig there in 1969, just two days after band member Brian Jones was found dead in a swimming pool.

The band also features guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, with Steve Jordan joining them on tour following the death of longtime drummer Charlie Watts, 80, last August.

The band returned to the UK stage at Liverpool’s Anfield football stadium last week to widespread acclaim, including five stars in the Mirror.

The rockers have rescheduled the show in Amsterdam for July 7, and the show is scheduled for tomorrow in Bern, Switzerland, at a later date.
