Microsoft admits Halo: Infinite “failed at the finish line”.

One of Halo: Infinite’s editors, Matt Booty, admitted in an interview that Halo: Infinite “failed.”
Speaking of friends per second Podcast, Booty admitted that while the launch was successful, gamers soon began to leave.
The studio still has plans to bring players back, blaming a lack of interesting content updates for the drop.
He said, “Today, with a game like Halo: Infinite, shipping the game is just the beginning.
“There has to be a plan for content sustainability; There needs to be a plan for regular, ongoing engagement. And we just fell short of plan there.”
He was grateful to the player base who had stuck with the game in hopes of future updates.

Fans were critical of the game upon release due to the number of promised features that were lacking at launch.
Many games start in an incomplete state. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was criticized for lacking features at launch.
Most notably, the Combat Record, which tells you how well you played, and the Hardcore mode are currently absent.
Booty apologized and said, “Thank you to the players for sticking with us through this.
“We know there is a way more demand and there is so much more we could supply.
“That’s our focus right now, on the quality of life of the game and having a regular cadence of content to come back to.”
Development studio 343 Industries said they are working on a more effective way to get content to players following complaints.
Popular YouTuber MoistCr1TiKaL called 343 the “worst developer” when it comes to game quality and updates.
However, it is claimed that updates are in the works, including a winter update that will bring more maps and campaign co-op to Halo: Infinite.
The Forge beta, which will allow players to design their own levels, and a new Battle Pass are also reportedly in the works.
