Mikel Arteta’s three-month Arsenal plan as he makes unusual training ground changes

The Arsenal boss has revealed he has been working closely with one Gunners star in particular, but the results may not be revealed in front of fans for a few months

Mikel Arteta has explained how he paid special attention to it Martin Odegaard in arsenal training but it could be three months before the Norwegian’s efforts make themselves felt.

After liking what he’d seen, Arteta opted to part ways with £30million to lure the Madrid midfielder as part of an incredibly hectic summer transfer window for the Gunners. It has proven to be an inspired decision but, as the Arsenal boss explained, there is much more to come.

“Right now you can see the results of some of his work over the past six months. People said he was unstable, he couldn’t do this and that, but then he filled out the form to be ready now.”
