Mikel Arteta has explained how he paid special attention to it Martin Odegaard in arsenal training but it could be three months before the Norwegian’s efforts make themselves felt.

Then he made the switch real Madrid Odegaard made permanent for the last summer mostly impressed for the Gunners and contributed to his name with six shots on goal from midfield. Arsenal fans were first introduced to the Norwegian when he went on loan mid last season.

After liking what he’d seen, Arteta opted to part ways with £30million to lure the Madrid midfielder as part of an incredibly hectic summer transfer window for the Gunners. It has proven to be an inspired decision but, as the Arsenal boss explained, there is much more to come.

Speaking to Norwegian broadcaster TV2, the Gunners manager shed light on the type of training Odegaard has recently undergone to improve. Arteta works particularly closely with Odegaard.
