Millions are using the WRONG version of WhatsApp – and you could get banned for it

WHATSAPP users could be banned for using the wrong version of the popular service.
That’s because not everyone uses the official WhatsApp service.
Some people dislike the interface and features and have opted for unofficial rip-offs instead.
These apps allow you to message friends and family like the right WhatsApp platform.
But it comes with modified and other features that the real WhatsApp doesn’t have.
For example, the ability to completely hide your online status.
And the WhatsApp bosses are not happy with that.
Also, unofficial apps expose you – and others – to potential attacks if you download anything dubious.
This is because unofficial apps like GBWhatsApp and WhatsApp Plus are not available through regular app stores like Apple App Store and Google Play.
You have to download them externally from the internet, which means they may not be entirely secure.
Unknown to many, using a third-party WhatsApp replacement can actually get your access banned.
WhatsApp’s own rules state: “Unsupported apps like WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp or apps that claim to move your WhatsApp chats between phones are modified versions of WhatsApp.
“These unofficial apps are developed by third parties and violate our Terms of Service.

“WhatsApp does not endorse these third-party apps because we cannot validate their security practices.”
So think again if you want to change the app soon.
