Millions have been urged to learn the new iPhone Siri hack – it’s so easy and saves you time

Part of the joy of Siri is that it keeps getting smarter.

And in the recent release of iOS 16, the old dog has learned a new trick.

Apple added the ability to restart your iPhone with a simple Siri command.

This is very handy, not least because restarting your iPhone usually requires going into the Settings app.

Now you can just say “Hey Siri, restart my iPhone”.

Siri will ask if you’re sure you want to turn iPhone off and on again – so you’ll need to confirm this.

Restarting your iPhone can be a great way to quickly fix an error.

Sometimes when an app or iOS isn’t working properly, a restart will fix it in no time.

If the new Siri command doesn’t work, you might not have the latest iOS update.

You need to go to Settings > General > Software update and make sure you are running at least iOS 16.

The latest update is iOS 16.2 which also supports iPhone hack.

You should also make sure your iPhone is listening for Siri commands.

To do this, go to Settings > Siri & Search.

Then toggle the “Listen to Hey Siri” switch to the “On” position.

For a little magic!

Siri also responds to nearly a dozen magical commands, straight from JK Rowling’s mega-hit books.

With just a few words, you can cast all sorts of curses from your phone, just like the boy who lived and his supernatural buddies.

Fans will remember, for example, the spell “Lumos” – which in the Harry Potter universe lights up the end of a witch’s or magic wand.

It allows characters to see in the dark and was used by Potter himself in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

You can take the magic back to the Muggle world yourself by activating Siri on an iPhone and saying “Lumos” to turn on your device’s flashlight.

Lumos isn’t the only magic that works on the iPhone.

If you activate Siri and say “Nox”, the wand erase spell, the torch will turn off.

And you can even cast Accio, the spell used by Potter and his buddies to summon an object onto the caster.

After waking Siri, say “Accio” followed by an app name to open the selected application.
