Minecraft: The five biggest changes in the latest patch

The next major update of MINECRAFT is still under development with Studio Mojang, but the 1.19.20 patch brought some major changes to the game.

While users have complained about the broken chat reporting system, that’s not one of the changes made in today’s update.

However, some much-needed changes have been made that will definitely be good news for a number of fans.

Here are the five biggest changes and fixes you need to know about.

Minecraft Java Edition fixes

The fixes for the Java Edition of Minecraft are mostly focused on the Bedrock Edition.

There are two fixes for the secure chat system that help with crashes both on the social interaction screen and with the system in general.

Medium mouse support in Minecraft on iOS

The “Pick Block” command allows players to place blocks from their hand in Creative mode, and in Survival mode you can place blocks from the hotbar.

This command is now available for iOS, so these mobile users can now build faster.

Minecraft Zombies can break down doors again

Players used to need something much stronger than a wooden door to stop zombies from entering their homes.

While Mojang has decided to remove the feature, those who play hard mode now have to face the danger once again.

If zombies slam into your door there is now a 10% chance of breaking it in, requiring players to have stronger entrances to protect themselves.

Minecraft polar bears no longer panic when attacked

Polar bears in Minecraft will not attack you unless provoked, either by hitting you or by approaching their cubs.

However, there was a bug that made polar bears both hostile and panicky when attacked.

This meant they would both try to attack the player and also run away. At least they don’t anymore.

Sculk’s hearing changed

Sculks have the ability to target and react to nearby sounds, but it wasn’t triggering in some cases.

For example, if he could hear two sounds at the same time, he could react erratically.

Now they only react to the next sound they hear, or if two sounds come from the same place only the louder one will be reacted to.
