Missing teen Marnie Clayton, 18, was found by police when man was arrested for false imprisonment, assault and death threats

A TEEN who disappeared after a night out in Windsor was found more than 25 miles away – when police arrested a man on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault.
A desperate search began for 18-year-old Marnie Clayton, after she went missing at 2am on Sunday.
The teenager was last seen leaving the Atik club, but never returning home. She was reported missing at 3am.
A haunting final selfie that shows Marnie posing in a gray bodycon dress hours before she disappeared has been released while her family awaits in horror.
Police have revealed that she has now been found safe and healthy in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, extortion, actual bodily harm, breach of police bail and death threats.
He was detained by the police last night.
MISSING TEEN FOUND
Director Michael Greenwood spoke of his relief after the massive search effort led police to Marnie.
He said: “I am delighted to be able to confirm that we have found Marnie safe and well and brought her home to her family, who have taken great care of her.
“This result is the result of excellent work from officers and staff from both Thames Valley Police and our colleagues in Hampshire.”
He said there have been “hundreds of calls” from members of the public offering since Marnie disappeared.
Their support, he added, helped end the “very important” search.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the thousands of publics who shared our call to find her, and to the local and national media,” said Supt Greenwood.
“The importance of information received in determining how safe and good Marnie’s location is cannot be underestimated.
“I am so proud of all of our officers, employees and colleagues in Hampshire for their work, as well as all the members of our local community who shared their words. calling and calling us with information that helped us get Marnie home.”
Hundreds of people took to social media to share their joy after Thames Valley Police posted the “wonderful” news.
One said her “prayers were answered”.
Another said: “This is amazing. Thames Valley and Hampshire, absolutely amazing.”
A third wrote: “Glad she’s safe.
“Her family must be so relieved – can’t imagine what they’ve been through.”
