PLAYBOY model Carla Howe has defended Hugh Hefner in the wake of his ex-girlfriend calling his notorious mansion like a “cult”.
The 31-year-old girl said she was lucky not to see the “dark side” of Hefner while living with him.
Carla and her twin sister Melissa became rabbits and moved into an LA mansion in 2011.
There are shocking stories about Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion allegedly in Playboy’s Secret, a trove of A&E documents that began in America on today’s A&E Network.
Carla told her Instagram followers: “I’ve seen clips of some people’s interviews saying that Hef is the new Jeffrey Epstein and all that.
“I guess me and my sister were lucky because when we got there he was with Crystal [Harris]. He’s not trying to have sex or any of that.
“It’s shocking to see some of the things people are saying about Hef, but at the same time I feel lucky that I didn’t see the dark side and I’m glad he didn’t try that. .
“Not once was he brazen, not once.
“He’s like my grandfather from another life.
“I know nothing will happen.”
She added: “The allegations against him in the documentary, I can’t comment on, but there were a lot of rules in place.
“We were just lucky because we had all the great parties.
“Shout to Destiny, you were my sister there. Well at least we had the parties, they showed up.
“I lived there for a while and it flew by.
“I’m really excited when the show comes out. Stay tuned. It’s going to be crazy compared to what I’ve seen.
“Hopefully this won’t be the next big scandal on the news as I’ve never seen that part of it. We had a great time, went to some light parties and filmed. all over LA.”
Carla previously told how the girls had a strict 9pm curfew, saying that none of them were even allowed to invite friends over to the villa to see them.
Speaking to The Sun in 2021, she said the house was “more like an old man’s house” than a paradise for wild sex.
Brit beauty said: ‘He almost never leaves the house and refuses to change anything in the mansion, so the whole place feels like being stuck in the 1980s. .
And Melissa, Carla’s twin, added that there are strict rules all women must follow when they live in the 22-bedroom mansion.
She said: “If you do something wrong, you get an email. There’s a strict code of conduct. There are even rules about Instagram and Twitter.”
“You have to show everything in good light and if you get drunk in a photo you’re in trouble.”
The Sun reveals how Hefner has so many cocaine in his Playboy mansion that a friend’s poodle has become addicted to.
The dog’s drug habits got so bad that it was locked up at parties because it tried to lick guests’ noses to fix it.
The revelation was made by Sondra Theodore – the ex-girlfriend of the late sex mogul – in a new TV documentary.
The American actress and model claimed he was addicted after dipping his nose in a “huge jar” of white powder sprinkled around the notorious Los Angeles estate.
Sondra, 65, said: “There are drugs everywhere.”
Hugh’s former assistant confirms that drugs are rampant.
Lisa Loving Barrett, who worked for Hefner from 1977 to 1989, said: “Cocaine is a big deal.”
She recalls that at some of the larger parties, a pile of Class A drugs was placed under the toilet paper dispenser in the downstairs motel room.
Another of Holly Madison’s ex explained that she enjoyed the atmosphere in the mansion in a clip of the film, saying: “The reason I think the Manor is so fetish, looking back at it, is that because we are all temperamental people. and expect to think about Hef, like, this really nice guy.
“You start to feel, ‘Oh, he’s not what they say in the media – he’s just a good man,'” she added.
His son, Cooper Hefner, says: “Some people may not approve of the life my dad has chosen, but my dad is not a liar.
“However, he is sincere in his approach and lives honestly.
“He’s very generous by nature and cares deeply for people. These amusing stories are a prime example of how regret turns into revenge.”
Hugh lived in the mansion with numerous girlfriends from 1974 until his death in 2017 at the age of 91.
The publisher is famous for Playboy magazine and organizes wild parties on the property attended by rich and famous guests.
A&E TV explains: “The documentary event ‘Playboy’s Secret’ explores the hidden truths behind the allegory and philosophy of the Playboy empire through a modern-day lens.
“The series delves into the complex world Hugh Hefner has created and examines its far-reaching consequences for our culture’s views on power and sexuality.”
Secrets of Playboy airs on A&E on January 24, 2022.
