Molly, who rose to fame on the fifth season of the ITV2 dating show in 2019, was outraged by comments she made about poverty during a conversation with host Steven Bartlett.

“You have a life and what you do with it is up to you,” she said. You can really go in any direction.

“When I’ve talked about that in the past, I’ve been criticized a bit, with people saying ‘it’s easy for you to say it because you didn’t grow up poor, so let you sit there and say We all have the same 24 hours in a day that’s not right.’

“But, technically, what I’m saying is right. We do,” the TV personality continued.

“So I understand that we all come from different backgrounds and we were all raised in different ways and we have different financial situations, but I think if you want all kinds of things, , you can achieve it.

“It just depends on how far you want to go to get where you want to be in the future. And I’ll go to any length.

“I did my best to get where I am,” she concluded.

Molly’s comments angered fans and some said they were “tone deaf” as she hinted at making money off people need to work harder, completely ignoring social inequality.

And now fans have found an old tweet from 2018 where she confessed that she took a long break during the day.

The reality star said on the social media platform: “When you’re planning to have a productive day but end up taking a 2-7 nap” and a clapping emoji.

Four days after the controversial comments went viral, Molly returned to social media to make an apology.

Molly told her 6.2 million followers yesterday: “I wanted to get back online today as usual but I feel like before I did, I just wanted to say this…

“When I say or post anything online, it is never malice or malice.

“I totally appreciate that things can affect different people in different ways, however I just wanted to stress that it was never my intention to hurt or upset anyone. by whatever I say or do.

“I apologize to those who have been negatively affected or misunderstood the meaning of what I said in the podcast.

“The purpose of the podcast is just to tell my story and inspire from my own experiences.

“Love you all, always x.”
