Molly-Mae Hague said sex with boyfriend Tommy Fury was “excruciating” due to endometriosis.
The former Love Island star bravely shared her battle with the chronic condition last year, candidly posting snaps of the scars from the surgeries she underwent to ease the symptoms of the inflammatory condition.
Endometriosis is when the tissue lining the uterus grows outside the uterus, such as B. in the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Molly-Mae said the surgery helped her with some aspects of her battle with endometriosis and that her periods have become more manageable since the surgery, but sex is still an issue for the model and influencer.
In a video for her YouTube channel, the 22-year-old spoke about how the issue is affecting her sex life with boxer Tommy, and she was honest with her fans and followers.
“My two main symptoms were the painful periods and the painful sex,” Molly explained.
“I’ll be honest, I think the painful sex symptom was what made me solve my problem of figuring out what was wrong with my body because I wasn’t just doing it for me and I fixed it for myself, which is obviously the main reason.” was that I tried to do it for Tommy too,” she said.
Molly said her painful periods and painful sex “were two different journeys” and she is seeking professional help.
“Unfortunately, as far as painful sex goes, that has never changed, it’s an ongoing problem,” she said.
“I’ve had a blood test and an MRI because I’m going to see a specialist in London regarding this situation.”
Molly said of her boyfriend, who she met on the ITV2 dating show: “I couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend for my endo journey. He was so understanding and so caring.”
She also spoke about the “excruciating pain” she was enduring due to the chronic condition, saying she almost called an ambulance due to the “level of pain” she was in.
“It got so bad I was tossing and turning in bed and actually scared for my life and thinking my body is in so much excruciating pain what is it going through?” she said.
“I used to be in so much pain that I was afraid I wouldn’t wake up in the morning. It was so awful,” she confessed.
