Molly-Mae Hague The first runway event as creative director of fashion brand PrettyLittleThing is said to have been hit by a “protest crowd” in London in the early hours of this evening.

Influencer, 22 years old, – who found popularity on Love Island in 2019 – was one of those attending the show at the Londoner Hotel tonight, with her boyfriend Tommy Furyalso 22.

However, the event led to an outcry against the brand – commonly known as PLT – with reports that around 20 people had gathered outside the hotel in Leicester Square.

It comes amid concerns about the sustainability of so-called ‘fast fashion’ and calls for “fair wages” for factory workers of the brand, owned by the Boohoo Group.

Protesters outside the event held up signs against the retailer, reading: “PLT Creative Director Salary: £4.8m. PLT Garment Manufacturer Salary: £7,280.”

The sign concluded: “24 hours in the same day.” This seems to be related to Molly-Mae’s comment on a podcast last month cause controversy.

Brett Staniland, 27, who appeared on Love Island last year, is said to be in the group. He is understood to have personally held up a sign criticizing the PLT.

The sign read: “There is nothing ‘pretty’ about stealing wages.”

An account on Twitter for him and twin brother Scott Staniland to appear to confirm the ex’s attendance at the rally.
