Molly-Mae Hague has been Creative Director of Pretty Little Thing for less than a year and has been questioned many times about it.

The Love Island star was embroiled in a scandal when tied to the brand as the Sunday Times 2020 revealed paying factory employees below minimum wage – while the company itself is said to be worth 316 million board.

Some pointed fingers and ask how Molly will practice in the seven-figure job, with the star quashing the claims by saying she’s hard at work.

In an interview with Sunday Times Magazine, Molly-Mae was asked what she does as the director of the fast fashion brand.

However, her manager, Fran Britton, blocked the interviewer from continuing that question.

“At this point, however, her manager Fran Britton — who was on the call and as charming as her client — jumped in,” the magazine said.

They then quoted Fran as saying: “It’s a huge misconception about the role, that people think she’s involved in all aspects of the business. And that’s not the case.”

The manager claimed that the former reality TV star was simply providing a ‘creative vision’ for the brand.

In previous interviews, Molly-Mae insists she worked long hours and did everything to the ‘best of her ability’ when it came to PLT’s runway show.

“I’ve been working with PLT for the past three years and I’ve almost naturally grown into a leadership position in the business,” she previously told the Mirror.

“I think through my other collections, they know that I can control everything and do what’s needed in the brand.”

She also explains that some days find her working in an office or warehouse for 13 hours straight.

In an interview with heat in August last year she said all her collections were ‘controlled’ by her.

She explained, “PLT does the collection with other girls but for me, I lead with [my collections], everything is under my control. I approved everything.

“So I think they know – from the way I work with my own collections – that I can do it through the brand and have creative input.”

In addition to being the Creative Director of PLT, she is also an Influencer, a Youtuber and she runs her own fake business called Filter.

The TV personality, who came in second on Love Island in her season, remains scheduled and busy and constantly shares previews of each project she works on.
