Molly-Mae Hague has said she will “hopefully” marry Tommy Fury soon after sharing an awkward idea in a recent interview.

The social media influencer, 22, and the professional boxer, also 22, have been in a relationship since they met on Love Island in 2019, and fans are eagerly awaiting their engagement.

The PrettyLittleThing creative director has now teased that it might not be long before they tie the knot after opening up ahead of her partner’s fight at Wembley Stadium tonight.

Reportedly present and speaking before the boxing match, Molly-Mae was referred to as “Mrs Fury,” and the interviewer added, “Very soon, I’m sure.”

The interviewer later apologized for the introduction, to which Molly-Mae teasingly replied: “It’s fine. Do not worry. Maybe soon [we will get married]. I hope so.”

Some fans were convinced their couple – who were runners-up on the ITV2 dating show – would become engaged during a trip to New York earlier this year.

However, she returned from the holiday without a ring, although the influencer made no secret of her desire to get married in the near future, as reported The sun.

Molly-Mae previously said she would like to get engaged “eventually”, explaining that the last few years have been “the best” of her life, professionally and personally.

And while fans may still be waiting for news of an engagement, she previously opened up about what to expect when she ends up walking down the aisle.

She was asked about her “dream wedding”. Cosmopolitan magazine last year, with the Love Island alum teasing that it wouldn’t be a quiet affair for the ceremony.

“[I would like] a big wedding,” she explained, before adding, “I want it to be this big, definitely in the UK so all my family and friends can come. In a church, very traditional.”

Molly-Mae and Tommy met almost three years ago in the Love Island villa. They appeared in the same series as eventual winners Amber Gill, 24, and Greg O’Shea, 27.

Other contestants on the fifth series of the ITV show included Molly-Mae and Tommy’s friends Maura Higgins, 31, and Curtis Pritchard, 26, who were previously in a relationship.
