Mom ‘finds boyfriend naked in bed with daughter, 7, and hits him with car as he flees’

Delmer Orlando Ortiz Licona is charged with aggravated sexual assault on a child, dating back to August 2021, when a woman claimed he was found in bed with her daughter

A mother found her boyfriend in bed with her seven-year-old daughter and hit him with her car while trying to flee, police say.

The man faces charges of sexually assaulting a child after the mother called police and claimed her boyfriend was in bed with her seven-year-old daughter, police reports said.

He was named Delmer Orlando Ortiz Licona by police but is listed as Orlando Delmer-Ortiz at the Texas Detention Center in Lubbock County.

According to police reports, she told 911 that she wanted an officer to come to her home.

She started yelling during the call, “What are you doing to her?”

The woman then told the caller, “I just found my husband … whoever lives with me naked in bed with my daughter,” NBC Affiliate KCBD reports.

“Please hurry, he’s running away, please hurry,” the woman continued.

She was asked if the man was her boyfriend.

And replied: “Should be him, but hurry up or I’ll kill him.” I’m going to fucking kill him,” the woman reportedly said.

The handler then overheard the woman telling a child to get in a car.

When asked if the child was okay, the woman replied, “Yes, I got home just in time.”

She then reportedly told the call operator that she was following the man in her car.

The dispatcher reported hearing a noise or hitting someone before a girl started crying.

“Please get an ambulance,” the dispatcher was instructed

She was asked why by the dispatcher, and the caller reportedly said the man jumped in front of her vehicle.

“Yes he jumped right in front of my car, he jumped right in front of my car sir.”

The call has since ended and the call operator tried several times to call her back, but she reportedly didn’t answer.

The call was made at 1am on August 8, 2021.

According to local media, investigators were not assigned to the case until March 2022.

In April, police called Licona, a local ABC affiliate KAMC reported.

He is said to have subsequently told an investigator that he was innocent and that he had done nothing wrong, but did not show up for the scheduled meetings with the police.

An arrest warrant was issued for him on May 3, and Licona was then taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center, authorities say.

Licona was held by the police without bail.

The woman brought her child for questioning and forensic examination in the assault case, where she is said to have provided specific information about the assault.
