Lancashire: A family fight erupts on a woman’s 50th birthday

A mum who was hit in the breasts after her 50th birthday party turned into carnage has admitted the party “got out of hand”.

Lisa Keegan told how the guest who started the fight had a tooth knocked out at the family reunion.

The celebrations were relaxed at first, with 15 guests enjoying a selection of sandwiches, cheese and a birthday cake in their back garden.

But tensions were flying after drinks started flowing, fists flew and partygoers stretched out on the front lawn to soak up the rays as the sun went down.

A video clip showing the unfolding chaos has been viewed by more than a million people since it was recently uploaded to social media.

Those at the bash are seen yelling, shoving each other and fighting with plastic lawn chairs.

Lisa described her 50th as “chaos” and “a birthday I’ll never forget.”

disclosure of further details Email onlineshe recalled the moment her daughter Colleen Jarvis, 33, and a friend’s teenage grandson fell to the ground after their bench collapsed.

But then things got “right larry” after one of her guests, Adam, 40, drank a fancy bottle of vodka that was originally intended for her as a birthday present, she told the publication.

“That was a mistake because he’s on medication and said he hasn’t had a drink in years. Well, it didn’t agree with him,” she told the Mail.

Adam reportedly mocked a 13-year-old’s earring and vape, he’s allowed to keep his Tourette and ADHD under control, Lisa explained.

“He was completely out of order … he just caused trouble and insulted people.”

Lisa said her daughter’s boyfriend Tony, 52, “takes care of the boy” and told Adam to “shut up.”

The two men then began throwing “kitten punches” at each other, with Tony managing to bleed Adam’s nose and knock out a tooth, she claimed.

Lisa tried to intervene and separate the couple, at one point using a chair to fend them off, but instead ended up in the middle of an argument.

“I must have looked like a lion tamer, but I was dealing with kitties,” she joked.

“I got punched in the boobs, all over the back … We’re not a rough family, but that day everything got out of hand.”

Footage shows the two drunk men struggling to land a single punch until they fall and start fighting back on the grass at the address in the Lancashire market town of Colne.

Lisa and other guests try to pull them apart, but Tony started inadvertently swinging punches at her and not his opponent, causing her to yell, “No, you’re punching me”.

Elsewhere at the party, more chaos continued when her daughter fell out of a chair trying to sit on the sloping lawn.

The birthday hostess admitted she was startled by the sequence of events and finally asked her mother Patricia Keegan, 76, to call the police.

Lancashire Police have confirmed they escorted a man home and the investigation is ongoing.

Tony has laughed at his poorly aimed punches and joked he’s now “too old to get into fights” but says he’s grateful to the police for the “lift home”.

Adam, who said it was his first day drinking in five years, admitted the fight was “more like shadow boxing” and the whole incident was a “drunk mess”.

While Lisa likened it to cult BBC drama Shameless and said it made her 50th birthday one she will “never forget”.

She added, “Adam was just teasing people and he took it [a lad’s] E cigarette.

“Tony stood up for him, but instead of hitting Adam, he hit me.

“They couldn’t put a punch between them because everyone was so drunk. I was in the middle of them to end it, but I should have just left them alone.

“The video is hilarious. It’s like something out of Shameless. I was like memes.

“When I fell backwards, I just started laughing. Even the dog barked to give them away.

“When I watched it again, I was like, ‘Oh my days.’ I was embarrassed.

“We got a lot of criticism about it, but some people call me a legend. A lot of my friends think it’s brilliant.”

Lisa says some neighbors even laughed at the side-splitting scuffle from their gardens and her star Staffordshire Bull Terrier, nine, even barked to help stop it.

Although police were called to the scene, both Tony and Adam said they made up by the end of the night.
