Mom threatens to give away kids after house is painted black

A mother was in tears after discovering her two “impish” children had completely destroyed their newly decorated bungalow after breaking open a pot of black B&Q paint.

Kerry Jones and her partner Callum Sheriff Johnson spent more than £4,000 decorating their home after moving in in October and have been dismayed at the damage their daughters creative “art project” has caused.

On the morning in question, Kerry was awakened by the sound of Callum shouting “get up,” before quickly realizing that little Lacie-Rae, four, and Eliza-Skye, two, were “ruining the whole house” with their artistic endeavors. had.

Footage of the “stunned” 22-year-old mother shows black footprints leading from the corridor into the living room, where the walls are covered in tiny handprints.

Kerry, from Clayton, Greater Manchester, believes the girls managed to open a tub of B&Q GoodHome black paint on walls and ceilings that had been stored in the guest bedroom while their parents were still asleep.

They then smeared the paint all over the coffee table and the “brand new” €75 rug while leaving their colored fingerprints on both sofas, leaving stubborn stains.

Also seen in the video, Lacie-Rae and Eliza-Skye, covered in black paint, watch innocently as Callum, 23, questions them about exactly what they would do about all the chaos.

On Facebook, the full-time mom jokingly offered to give her kids away as they “ruin everything and think the house is an art gallery” now that they’ve destroyed their couch, carpet, area rugs and four-month-old kitchen linoleum.

She and Callum are particularly concerned about their £500 corner sofa, which they fear is now damaged beyond repair.

Facebook users were keenly amused by the little girls’ antics, with the couple looking “like butter wouldn’t melt,” but they also sympathized with Kerry’s predicament, admitting the mess was the “worst thing she’s ever seen.” to have”.

Kerry said: “I didn’t even say anything. My mouth was just wide open and tears were running down my face. I was just so shocked.

“I was like, ‘I gotta record this before I lose my shit.’ Callum went insane. He just said ‘look at the house’ but the girls stared at us to tell us that they had done nothing wrong.

“They must have been doing this for about an hour. My eldest was busy making handprints and my youngest was busy wrecking the whole house. They obviously had something planned in their bedroom.

“The whole hallway was covered in paint and footprints, the brand new carpet my uncle gave me was destroyed and all my throws are ruined. I just want to cry about it.”

She continued: “You can see the handprints on the sofas and the blackness underneath. If we don’t get it, throws won’t cover it.

“My daughter used to draw by hand in school, so she went ahead and thought she could paint the wall. I couldn’t believe she could open the paint. I was amazed.

“I was angry, but they’re kids and they don’t understand, so you can’t get mad at them. My kids are my life so I wouldn’t yell and get mad at them. I held everything back.

“Before I posted the video to Facebook, I sat on my couch and cried for about 10 minutes, then I realized my tears aren’t going to clean it up.

“As soon as we cleaned up the girls, we watched the videos and cried with laughter and the faces of the girls in them. Lacie-Rae looked like she was going to say, ‘This is just our artwork mom’.”

An hour after being sent to their bedrooms, Lacie-Rae hugged her mother and apologized, while toddler Eliza-Skye still doesn’t quite understand what she did wrong.

Despite her initial anger, Kerry now plans to create a collage of family handprints to display on her restored brown living room wall so they can “remember the moment”.

A B&Q spokesperson issued the following statement: “Oh dear – it definitely looks like Ms. Jones could use some help to undo her surprise makeover in Glory”.
