This is the shocking moment when a reckless driver collides almost head-on with another car after overtaking a truck in the fog.
The careless motorist is seen swerving dangerously at high speed in terrible weather conditions without theirs fog lights.
The clip was posted on Twitter by Lancashire Police’s official account in a thread compiling dashcam footage of dangerous driving.
The video is captioned: “Overtaking a truck in thick fog?
It begins by showing the first-person perspective of a driver driving almost blind in incredibly thick fog.
And the offending driver is not even visible in the first few seconds of the clip.
Unseen until the last moment, they burst out of the fog on the shoulder of a large truck.
They then dodge dangerously in front of the huge engine just in time to avoid a head-on collision with the recording driver.
It is a miracle that no one was injured, as the driver’s reaction time was certainly too short in view of this terrible weather conditions and driving speed of vehicles.
Lancashire Police said the driver was charged with “driving without due care”.
And cops slapped the reckless driver with a £100 fine and three penalty points on her driving licence.
Other videos in the thread showed a driver dangerously crossing lanes in wet weather while another motorist was dialing do not stop at two red lights.
