Chris Hemsworth says his latest project has helped him slow down and live in the moment after feeling like he’s been on a “treadmill for years and moments just like that”.

Actor Thor, 39, embarks on a mission to discover how to live better for longer in the new series Limitless With Chris Hemsworth.

Talking about what he learned about himself while creating the new National Geographic show that debuted on Disney+, Hemsworth said: “This was a dream scenario for me, freedom, bright choices. creating that I can have and making movies that I’m able to make, and traveling, etc. is a dream.

“And what kept me there was the real urgency and the very avant-garde, offensive approach to things.

“And then finding the balance now, to go, you’ve been to a lot of places that used to be dreams and now I’m going to cherish these moments or I’m going to have something else very quickly. in front of me’ I’m really going to miss what’s right in front of me.

“In the last episode, I talked a little bit about that, about feeling like I’ve been on the treadmill for years and the moments are fleeting.”

In the series, Hemsworth undertakes many extraordinary journeys and extreme trials in an attempt to understand the limits of the human body.

Episodes see him meet a doula of death, step out onto the platform from the top of a skyscraper, and face the most stressful test yet of the New South Fire and Rescue academy recruits. Wales.

Hemsworth continued: “Then a death doula asked me, ‘What makes for a good death? What will your death be like? Who will you have by your side in those last moments?’ and I realized, that’s all I have now.

“It’s every Sunday afternoon when we have friends and family over, and we’re together.

“I think for most of us, it’s all about opinion.

“And what we have right in front of us, in this moment, is what matters most.

“And it gave me a bulb-like moment of gratitude and awareness and that’s something that I keep trying to bring myself back to.”

After going through six challenges throughout the series – each with a different role to play in understanding how people can become fitter, healthier and happier – Hemsworth also revealed some of the things that have happened. haunted him since he finished the movie.

“I was asked to question a lot of things that I hadn’t thought of before and was confronted with ideas that never really entered my mind.

“Since I finished the show, I have tried to implement all the tips, techniques and practices that were taught to me.

“But there’s also a great sense of gratitude, to be grateful, and to live in the moment that I took away from the whole experience.”

He added: “Thinking of all the great things I’ve been a part of, and how lucky and blessed I am, and thankfully, that has stayed with me since the show.”
