Monaghan-based warehousing company Moffett Automated Storage will create 30 new jobs at its new headquarters.
Recruitment for the roles will begin later this year after the company expanded in the village of Clontibret near the Northern Ireland border on Wednesday.
Serving customers in 10 countries, Moffett offers automated warehousing, pallet storage and retrieval controlled by software developed in-house.
The system allows customers to quickly track, move and access pallets without height restrictions in the facility, ensuring high storage density.
The Enterprise Ireland-backed company was founded in 2017 by Sam Moffett, son of Combilift boss Robert Moffett.
The company’s new headquarters – which includes a center for research and development – was inaugurated on Wednesday by Tánaiste and Enterprise Minister Leo Varadkar.
He said the company “just keeps going from strength to strength”.
Managing director Sam Moffett said he was “very confident about the future”.
“The company’s success over the past five years has given me confidence in investing in the growth of Moffett Automated Storage.
“A major factor in our success has been the work of a team of experts who support projects around the world with qualified, specialized know-how.”
“With the increasing need for warehousing and logistics services and limited available storage space, businesses need a new solution and we’re excited to help our customers meet this challenge.”
The modernization of the office was funded in part by the government’s LEADER program, which supports companies that create jobs in rural areas, improve broadband connections or invest in renewable energy.
“With a long history of innovation within the Moffett family, this is another significant company that will create jobs in the Monaghan area,” said Heather Humphreys, Secretary of State for Rural and Community Development.
“I want local businesses to create jobs locally in rural Ireland.”
Enterprise Ireland’s Tom Kelly said he hopes to “support Moffett Automated Storage’s ambitions to compete and win in global markets”.
