Most of U2’s songs make Bono ‘heartbroken’

U2 singer Bono has admitted that he hates his band’s name, his vocals, and most of the tunes he’s sung. Irish rock star told Chat Award podcast that he finds most of U2’s songs worth listening to and turns off the radio when they’re played because he doesn’t like the sound of his own voice. “I think U2 pushed the boat away out of embarrassment,” he added.

Investigated giant potato

The New Zealand couple who grew a 7.8kg potato – and named it Doug – were dumbfounded after learning that the vast vegetable patch would need to be verified by Guinness World Records. “They think I’m genetically modified?” Colin Craig-Brown asked. Neck tube can be a straw

Experts have confirmed that ancient gold and silver straws dating from about 5,500 years ago and unearthed in the North Caucasus, Russia may be the oldest surviving straws in the world. Eight thin-walled tubes were found in the largest of the three human remains, discovered during excavation of a mound near Maykop. Experts say the items are drinking straws “designed for sipping a beverage that requires filtration during consumption”.
