Most popular movies on Netflix besides A Man Called Otto

A Man Called Otto is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the streaming service’s public ranking system.
Adapted from a Swedish novel by Fredrik Backman, the comedy-drama film stars Tom Hanks as the title character, a grumpy widower who forms an unusual bond with his new neighbors. Originally in theaters in December, A Man Called Otto came to Netflix on May 6th.
The second most popular movie right now is Pitch Perfect, the 2012 hit set in the world of a cappella college. Starring Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine, the film spawned two sequels — and apparently a fair amount of summer camp performances of Cups (When I’m Gone).
In addition to heart-warming food, some crime films are also represented in the current ranking. “Heat” is a 1995 classic hit song by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro (this will Supposed to get a sequel soon), while Above Suspicion is a 2019 thriller film based on the true story of the murder of Susan Smith.
The only Netflix original film in the current ranking is “AKA,” a gritty French action film about a special ops agent who infiltrates a crime syndicate and befriends the boss’s son. Released on April 28, the film has received mixed reviews.
