Motorists should expect delays due to road closures on the A27

THREE road closures on the A27 will cause delays for motorists over the next week.

Road works along the road in Brighton and Hove are expected to disrupt journeys for commuters throughout the week.

The first closure began last night on the eastbound and westbound A27 between Holmbush and Hangleton and is expected to last until 6am tomorrow. A detour is in place while a tunnel is closed for maintenance.

Later this week the A27 eastbound between Coldean and Falmer will be closed for surface works. A detour will be in place during the roadworks from Thursday, July 28, 8 p.m. to Friday, July 29, 6 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays on the A27 eastbound and westbound between Devils Dyke and Hollingbury early next week due to a lane closure for barrier repairs. Delays are expected from August 2 at 8 p.m. to August 3 at 5 a.m.

In some good news for motorists, all three road closures are expected to cause only minor delays of less than ten minutes.
