MrBeast and Fortnite are teaming up in a $1M giveaway

YOUTUBER MrBeast and Battle Royale Fortnite are teaming up for a new event where one person will win $1 million (£800,000).

MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge takes place on in Fortnite December 17, 2022and the player with the highest score takes home the money.

Even if you aren’t the best player, there are a number of in-game items that you can earn just for participating.

The challenge is now live and will be listed under the “Fortnite Competitive” line in Discover, and you can try the challenge as many times as you like.

You can also participate using the island code 7990-6907-8565. However, only your best score, which you achieved on December 17th, counts towards the prize.

The top 100,000 players will also all receive the Beast Brella umbrella for their lockers.

MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Quests are also live starting today, allowing players to pick up a number of other MrBeast-themed items.

These include MrBeast Gaming Spray and MrBeast Survival Games Loading Screen, both available until January 4th.

Finally, MrBeast themed outfits, emotes and accessories are now available in the shop.

In order to participate in the event, players must have two-factor authentication enabled on the verified Epic account linked to their Fortnite account.

Your account level must be at least 15 to participate to prevent bots from participating.

There is also a list of countries and regions that are excluded from participating.

These are: Cuba, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

In addition, persons from Turkey and Russia are allowed to participate but are not eligible to win the prize fund.

You can still win the Beast Umbrella and participate in the quests.

Aside from these restrictions, the fund is subject to local taxes, which means different amounts of money will be received depending on the country where the winner lives.

The competition runs from 5pm to 8pm UK time, which means you only have three hours to get a high score.
