Republicans may seem like they’re on “another planet” right now with their skewed priorities, MSNBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin suggested Sunday.
Instead of tackling a “bloated” and “urgent” to-do list upon their return to Washington – from debating additional funding for Ukraine to averting a government shutdown – they would instead focus on impeaching President Joe Focus on Biden, he argued.
And House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (Republican of California) is to blame after he “sold his soul” to far-right Republicans like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Republican of Georgia) in his bid to become speaker, and have to do it now Pay it back.
“McCarthy made rodeo possible, but now it seems unable to contain it,” Mohyeldin said.
