Multi-million pound deal sees Intact Software acquire British company Blue Rock Systems

Intact, a software and technology solutions company serving the trade and distribution sector, has acquired UK software house Blue Rock Systems.
The company said it was a “multi-million pound” deal.
Based in Southampton, the company has been selling, implementing and supporting Intact Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for over 16 years.
Justin Lawless, CEO of Intact, said the transaction would strengthen Intact’s market share and strengthen the company’s talent pool to support its growth plans in Ireland, the UK and global markets.
“Blue Rock Systems grew sales 30 percent last year and delivered double-digit earnings growth. Its 43 employees and senior management are all highly experienced and will add immense value to our product and service offering by working together as part of Intact.”
Based in Dundalk, Co. Louth, Intact saw its headcount increase from 200 to 243 in Ireland and the UK.
Blue Rock is Intact’s second software acquisition in England. In 2016, the software company acquired Ramtac, another of its UK VAR (Value Added Reseller) partners.
Intact’s annual turnover is currently in the region of EUR 17 million, with growth of over 60 percent forecast for the coming year.
