Music festival to be held on Palace Pier this summer

An ARTS and entertainment festival is to be held on the pier.

Following last year’s PierFest, the month-long festival will return on Brighton Palace Pier from September 18th to October 16th.

It begins with Britain’s Got Talent’s Steve Hewlett performing an evening of comedy alongside Arthur Lager.

Also on September 18th will see the world premiere of a new documentary about Brighton comedian Max Miller, aka The Cheeky Chappie.

Later during the festival, Coronation Street and Peaky Blinders star Jamie Kenna will take the stage to talk about his life on screen and on stage on October 8th and 9th.

BBC Radio DJ Mike Read will present a pop music quiz, swing band The Jive Aces will perform and a variety of jazz acts will also take the stage.
