My 28H boobs give me migraines and make my fingers numb but the doctors won’t help

A woman whose 28H breasts gave her migraines and numb fingers was frustrated when doctors refused to help.

Janel Nelson, 20, from Alberta, Canada, said a doctor even asked her to reconsider breast reduction for the sake of her future husband.

But when Janel met the love of her life, her husband Chandler Nelson, he encouraged her to keep trying.

Janel has been dealing with constant headaches and sweating since the age of 16, and even has numbness in her fingers from the weight of her breasts.

“My shoulders and neck are always sore from the pressure of the bra straps,” she said.

“My whole posture is just about relaxing to get a sense of relief.

“In the summer, I sweat a lot underneath my breasts, which leads to frequent rashes and itching.

“It was strange that my fingers would randomly itch because the nerves in my neck would be compressed and this was very uncomfortable.

“However, the most debilitating symptom I have is chronic migraine headache.

“Every pressure and weight on me often leads to migraines.

“Ultimately, I feel as though my body is denying me confidence and limiting what I can and can’t do in my life.”

Janel finds that especially difficult when she is always on the job taking care of children with disabilities.

She also often feels embarrassed when people stare at her breasts every time she walks into the room.

“Literally, it feels like every time I walk into a room, only my chest comes in, not me,” says Janel.

“This is something that I was used to learning in middle school and beyond because it was always on my mind.”

Janel sought medical help for four years, but doctors claimed that doctors always made excuses for her not to have surgery.

“Over the course of four years, I have been rejected by my family doctor and surgeon more than 10 times,” she said.

“The reasons they gave me for being rejected were always terrible.

“For example: I am too young, my hormones need to be adjusted, should I wait after I have children, what will my future husband think?

“Every time I walk out of the clinic after being rejected, I fail even more.

“I eventually stopped trying because I wasn’t getting anywhere and I was tired of closing down.”

But, after her husband Chandler encouraged her to keep trying, Janel finally found a doctor “who was willing to listen” and helped organize the operation.

There is a two-year waiting list. However, just six months later, a coincidence caused Janel to have early surgery.

She said: “One morning, I woke up from a dream and really wanted to call the clinic.

“I gasped when they told me on the phone that they had a new date list that morning and asked if I was available to take the vacancy.

“Nothing could stop me from choosing that surgery date.”

On January 5, 2022, Janel had surgery to shrink her breasts down to a size of 28C, and she amazed at the results.

She shared her results on a TikTok video that is currently going viral, which has had 19 million views.

Thankfully, because it’s done through the public health care system, Janel doesn’t have to pay an expensive medical bill either.

“It changed lives,” she said. I feel like I’ve got a whole new body.

“I was finally able to jump around and live a life like any 20-year-old could.

“I am no longer limited to my clothing options and I can take anything off the shelf without even having to try it on, knowing it will work for me.

“The bit of confidence I had before has completely exploded and I feel extremely happy knowing that nothing will ever stop me from becoming the athletic person I am.

“You deserve to feel comfortable in your body. You deserve to feel confident in the clothes you wear. You deserve to be happy.”
