Lauren McGregor cradles her baby – born two years after his father’s death.
The 33-year-old was conceived via IVF using frozen sperm from her husband Chris, who died aged 37 from a brain tumour.
She said: “As soon as Seb was born I had an overwhelming feeling that Chris had passed him on to me from somewhere else.
“When the doctors at the theater found out about my circumstances, they allowed me to hang a picture of Chris and they allowed me to keep my wedding ring and a necklace containing Chris’ ashes.
“It meant the world to me. One of the first things Seb did was grab the necklace made from Chris’ ashes, which was just beautiful.
“The staff were amazing, they were really understanding.”

Today, on Father’s Day, she wants to remember the good times with Seb and Chris’ son Wade, 18, from a past relationship.
“We want to make a list of all of Chris’ favorite places and start a tradition of going to a new place every Father’s Day — just the three of us,” she said.
Lauren, a party planner, and Chris, a forklift operator, have known each other since they were teenagers and started dating in 2013.
That was just a few months before he became ill.
He recovered after surgery in 2014 but the tumors returned and he died in July 2020.

The couple always wanted children and Chris froze his sperm during his illness.
Seb was born at Liverpool Women’s Hospital on May 17th via a planned Caesarean section weighing 8lbs 11oz.
“It’s no surprise that he was tall since Chris was tall,” Lauren said. “As his facial features begin to emerge, I can see more and more of the Chris in him.
“Losing Chris was the worst day of my life but he managed to ensure our love continues to grow even now that he is no longer here.”
Lauren has four more frozen embryos and hasn’t ruled out giving Seb younger siblings.

She added: “I think once Seb is like three or four I would consider it again.
“I suffered a lot with nausea and nausea during this pregnancy and told a friend to never have that done again!
“But when that’s over, you look forward to whatever comes, like any mother.”
