BOOK: Bigger than us
Over the years I’ve devoured countless books and audiobooks by spiritual gurus and futurists (Eckhart Tolle, Paulo Coelho and everyone in between). I really enjoy Fearne Cottons Bigger than us as it is an amalgamation of so many of those ideas and teachings put into action in a fun, open-minded way in today’s weird and wonderful world. Otherwise it’s children’s books: Roddy Doyle, Roald Dahl and Abi Elphinstone are on the way.
TV: Da Vinci’s Demons
I’m not a big TV watcher and apart from children’s movies and James Bond, I’m not a moviegoer either. However, after I totally immersed myself game of Thrones During the first lockdown, my sister recommended Da Vinci’s demons on Disney+ and I love it. I only read the Dan Brown novels six months ago so this story on screen with these fresh memories in my head got me hooked. Also Jack Whitehall‘s Traveling with my father and Clarkson’s farm Crack my husband and I up.
Podcast: Russell Brand
Russell Brands under the skin. I thoroughly enjoy listening to Russell tackle issues from multiple directions with insight and humor (the impression of the great American gentleman always wins me over), with inspiring guests and contributors. But I usually listen to my playlist or records – everything from Kenny Rogers to Claude Debussy and Nina Simone to Luke Kelly. My accompanying dance moves are legendary around these parts.
I live for a good festival – the people, the food, the theatre, the visual celebrations. This year I am delighted to have our Johnny Magory Explorer Land back at Kaleidoscope at Russborough House and Bord Bia’s Bloom at Phoenix Park. I can’t wait to meet people again.
