My Family was one of the BBC’s most popular comedies during its run from 2000 to 2011.
The show aired for 11 series and followed the antics of the Harper family including dad Ben (Robert Lindsay) and wife Susan (Zoë Wanamaker).
The couple have three children: Kris Marshall plays eldest son Nick, daughter Janey Harper is played by Daniela Denby-Ashe, and Gabriel Thomson plays youngest child Michael Harper.
Now, a decade since the last episode aired, viewers would be forgiven for not recognizing Gabriel if they passed him on the street.
The 35-year-old actor has ditched the glasses and bouncy hair he wore as Michael and now wears a stylish short cut and clean lines.
In his Twitter profile picture, he’s wearing a red velvet tuxedo jacket and holding a cigarette, while a Facebook photo shows him looking relaxed and tanned with a drink in hand.
Gabriel gave up stomping on the board to return to university, where he studied philosophy at King’s College in London with ambitions of becoming a human rights lawyer.
However, his IMDb profile reveals that he has returned to his acting field in 2020 to star in a horror movie called A Little More Flesh.
His only acting credit between that and My Family was in the 2014 TV series The Lost Choices.
The same cannot be said for many his co-star, who has appeared in countless television and film projects.
Zoë, 72, has appeared in the Harry Potter and Agatha Christie’s Poirot films, while Robert, 72, has starred in several West End productions as well as the 2019 film Maleficiency: Mistress of Evil and the series ITV TV series, McDonald & Dodds.
Meanwhile Kris, 48, went on to be the lead detective on Death in Paradise from 2014-2017 as well as Sanditon and last year’s Netflix Christmas movie, Father Christmas is Back.
