“My Mother’s Day Ruined After Finding Out My Partner Cheated On Me”

A mum-of-two has opened up about how she’s currently having a “s**t” Mother’s Day after finding out her boyfriend cheated on her with a woman from his work

Some people like to celebrate Mother’s Day, while others prefer to let it go by without making a fuss.

But either way, it’s still nice to be thanked and given a small token of appreciation for everything you do as a parent — even if it’s just a lie-in and a cup of tea in bed.

However, it seems that not everyone got off to such a good start Mother’s Day, as a post on Mumsnet showed.

A mother expecting her second child took to the internet education forum to share her disappointment at her husband’s lack of effort for Mother’s Day while she was struggling with it pregnancy.

Plenty of other mums then jumped on the bandwagon to share their own Mother’s Day disappointments – including some who were disappointed that their partner bought them a nice gift but their little ones hadn’t bothered themselves, like a picture to draw or craft a card.

However, one woman was certainly having a worse day than most.

The mum anonymous confessed she too had a bad Mother’s Day when she found out it was her partner cheat on her and now she has to move out and find an apartment with her children.

As answer to the original post, The top comment reads, “Well, I mean, I found out that my asshole boyfriend is secretly dating this woman at work… so rosy I’m moving out with two under two.

“You’re in good company. Cheers to Mother’s Day.”

Despite her bad day, she still shared a kind message with the other mum, who is overdue, adding, “I hope your baby is due soon, I know how awkward it is!”

We hope this mom is doing well!

This comes after another mother shared how she recently found herself in a difficult situation financially with her ex.

In another post on Mumsnet, The anonymous woman claimed she paid for almost everything in her relationship – including her apartment, IVF treatment and her own engagement ring.

But now that they broke up, her former partner said she owed him one.

She wrote: “Do I owe him money?

“I was with my ex-partner for 12 years. When we met I owned an apartment. We lived together in this apartment for 5 years. When I wanted to move I tried to buy another property with him but his credit rating was low so I ended up having to buy a cheaper property myself.

“We lived in this new property for 6 years before we split. During those years he paid me half of the bills. It was never really half as he never had enough money because he was always getting fines and stupid APR loans and generally mismanaging money.

“Apart from that, I always paid for holidays, restaurants, etc. I paid for our IVF. Now he says I owe him money for contributing to bills.
