My neighbor said my parking disregarded him but I don’t think I did anything wrong

A WOMAN took to the internet to vent her frustration with her neighbor.
Although she struggled to park sensibly as she pulled her car from her driveway onto the street, a neighbor quickly pulled her up.
That Post on Mumsnet said: “I’m not sure what to make of this. My partner and I moved to a new neighborhood a few weeks ago. It’s a fairly affluent area with single family homes etc.
“Anyway we had visitors over the weekend staying for two days and my partner wanted to move our car so visitors could park in the driveway.
“He parked the car across the street. Has not blocked anyone’s driveway or parked in an illegal or cumbersome manner. He parked it there on Friday afternoon.
“A neighbor whom we have never met on Saturday night knocked on the door and without introducing himself he just started trying us because we parked our car there.
“He didn’t ask us to postpone it or explain why it bothered him – he just immediately started ranting that we ‘don’t respect our neighbor’ and ‘we don’t back down.’
“We said we did nothing wrong, it’s legal to park on any street as long as it doesn’t block an entrance.
“He’s accepted that it’s not illegal, but it’s not acceptable anyway. Said we should have realized it would upset him!”
The woman added: “My partner then said I’m sorry I’ll postpone it, I didn’t mean to upset you and we want to have good relations with you.

“The guy just kept trying and eventually said, ‘Well you pissed me off, welcome to the neighborhood,’ and stormed off.
“I’m not being unreasonable here, am I? Would you try your neighbors because they parked a car in front of your house for a few days?
“I keep thinking about this, is it rude to park in front of someone’s house?”
