My nightmare neighbor left a note about my parking

A SICK woman was accused by neighbors of “illegal” parking and threatened to “continue to act” despite being allowed to park there.

Hollie Amber, 22, a Green Badge holder, parked her van in a residential area, in Oxford, and was shocked to find the nasty note from “resident of Staverton Road”.

The trainee teacher – who has quadriplegia – found the hate letter stuck to her motor, on January 28.

Hollie had lived on this street for three years and was shocked to learn that she had been reported to the council.

She told OxfordshireLive: “I find it surprising that they think my car, which has a label on it that says we need six feet to reach the elevator, is being called a commercial vehicle.

“Yes, it is a truck, but it is not a commercial vehicle.

“Someone clearly took it out for me.”

The note said neighbors would “go ahead” if she parked there again.

“Sometimes I get hit with a lot of sticks if I park somewhere,” Hollie said.

“I have looks and everything is dirty so it would be nice to educate people more.

“I think it’s a nationwide problem. I find especially in middle class areas, you just get people who think they can tell people what to do. “

She added: “I have lived on Staverton Road since 2019 and I have never had any problems.

“I’ve always parked where I’ve parked, until this week, where everyone seemed to have just turned.”

Green Badge holders’ are entitled to park for three hours on the yellow double and single lines.

They can also park for unlimited time in resident-allowed bays and time-limited spots.

This means there is no reason to report Hollie to the council.

She said: “I would just try and educate them rather than negatively say ‘Why are you attacking me’.

“I thought I’d be like ‘Look, you’re off topic, you’ve clearly not read the topic’.”

Hollie’s TikTok, @noheelsjustwheelshas 15,000 followers.

She shares videos about her life to raise awareness of people with disabilities.

Hollie added: “I don’t think the council is doing enough.

“I think we need to start an initiative or something to spread awareness about the problems that drivers with disabilities face.

“It would be really good to spread awareness about drivers with disabilities and what they are allowed to do.”
